Morning guys! Just been having a closer inspection of the cover. I've managed to get some better close up shots which hopefully will help with the diagnosis.

I have to say that it looks to me like something has broken on the brake band, probably as a result of my own ineptitude when doing the original putting together :blushing:

 

What's the verdict?

 

By the way, I will be delighted to make a contribution to a charity of your choice, you have all been so helpful and I have to say this seems to be a really friendly forum which makes a change :thumbup1:

Bugger :bawling:

 

I guess that is caused by my failure to put the bar on correctly in the first place rather than any fundamental flaw in a month old machine? (i.e. not a warranty claim)

 

I feel a trip to my local Husqvarna dealer coming on for a repair. I'll have to work out the French for "my brake band is knackered".

 

Once again, thanks for all your help - is this the charity that you would like me to donate to: The Children's Trust provides care, education & rehabilitation to disabled children
