Don't know if I'll sleep tonight. This is better than The Archers:thumbup1: So exciting. Will the Man from France respond? Is it the brake band or some lump of plastic that's holding him back from logging? Find out next time...

Oh, the suspense is almost too much.

Will I be forced to leave this thread in shame.

Morning guys! Just been having a closer inspection of the cover. I've managed to get some better close up shots which hopefully will help with the diagnosis.

I have to say that it looks to me like something has broken on the brake band, probably as a result of my own ineptitude when doing the original putting together :blushing:

What's the verdict?

By the way, I will be delighted to make a contribution to a charity of your choice, you have all been so helpful and I have to say this seems to be a really friendly forum which makes a change :thumbup1:

Bugger :bawling:

I guess that is caused by my failure to put the bar on correctly in the first place rather than any fundamental flaw in a month old machine? (i.e. not a warranty claim)

I feel a trip to my local Husqvarna dealer coming on for a repair. I'll have to work out the French for "my brake band is knackered".

Once again, thanks for all your help - is this the charity that you would like me to donate to: The Children's Trust provides care, education & rehabilitation to disabled children

Merci mes amis :001_smile:
