The tree has now had 2 ground inspections since the ivy strip, both recommending that aerial inspection would be prudent.

 

Finally got around to it.

 

Although the cavities are deep, the surrounding wood is solid and forming a strong thickened wall around the old pollard points.

No works listed for now.

Yes all looks good, but a seam/crack above an pollard point looks from waaay over here to be a concern; how did it look up close to the assessors? Seen in 7th pic in previous post.

 

And do your guys record images up there for you?

7th shot on post 29 or 30 Guy?

 

If 29, then I think what your seeing (rhs of shot) is an overlaying branch ontop of another larger one.

I/we don't recall there being a seem/crack above the pollard points.

 

 

With regards to photos, we tend to document anything that moves up in a tree & if it doesn't move we shoot it any way :biggrin:

 

As of yet we haven't video'd anything but I'm looking into that.
