Hi Jaime

I think your recent proactiveness with us lot is great and complements Pauls’ work very nicely.

You are raising good stuff.

I’m liking it and you have my support.

But the AA don't do this:

"And I have to add, that being given the opportunity to try and asssit the AA, through the AWG in maintaining, developing and promoting good arboriculture, is a privilege for me."

This is well established and I refer you to my earlier post and Pauls' (AA Techies') answer to it.

I think being an AA approved contractor could only ever be a good thing, but think that as a one man band + groundie + dog co., and happy to stay that way, I think the investment required would be too much.

I'm looking down the ISA route at the moment.

Mark do you ever get chance to read the AA newsletters or journals, or is it not somethiing that you are interested in?

This thread wasnt meant to be related to Arb Ac company, more so at subscription to the AA.

How much irs subscription to the ISA and what are the different levels and associated costs do you know?. i just googles and found some articles they too look good..:thumbup1:

Sorry Jaime, I thought you were on about the AAAC stuff.

No, I'm not a member, never seem to have enough cash, but it's something I will address this year.

The ISA Cert Arb is basically a load of study coupled with a load of info through experience then one exam, which I think is about £70 odd, although I may be hideously wrong....

Noone ever asks me anything about quals or tickets, but it's always nice to have something else to impress posh, rich clients with.

i would say No far from it.

Why? There's nothing eliteist (sorry abt spelling) about being an AA member or ArbAC, it's simply a matter of choice is it not? Some are, and will, some aren't and won't. I beleive those that do, do so out of choice, or because a contract or client requires it, but I don;t beleive they consider themselves above the pack.

Or maybe I've missed your point completely and your comments are aimed at me?

Sorry, really struggling with this one :confused1:

Paul
