This JD R40 push mower came in today, but rather than repair the owner opted for new.

The issue is the deck which is made of polythene but is braking up around the skirt. It still works OK but looks tatty and is not really repairable, only bodge able, and I don't bodge, so its due for the scrap bin which is a bit of a shame, as the engine is perfect. But there is no grass box.

So if anyone wants to offer to donate £20 to the charity they can become the owner of this machine.

I don't want the hastle of trying to box it up, so it will be collect in person only.

From East Devon

The John deere mower is now the property of Parker as he has offered to donate £20 to The Childrens Trust.

Thank you Parker.

Thank god for that, I thought I was going to be tempted to take that one home as well

Up for grabs are these 2 items removed from a Komet Miller steel cored landyard.

A £10 donation to the childrens trust and I will post both items.

Sold as seen for spares or repairs :sneaky2:

No scrap saws in lately, but this 24" Atco came in today. It does start, and has been in regular use, but has no grass box. It has been "maintained" by its elderly owner who recently died. his widow sent it in for service so the gardener could use it, but it needs a lot spent on it to do it properly, so today she bought a new JD JS63 rotary mower from me which is frankly, much more suited to her present garden.

She was very pleased that this might receive a donation to The Childrens Charity, to make use of it "for spares or repairs" rather than be scrapped, and thought that £30 would be a good figure.

So if anyone wants to offer, on this thread, to donate £30 to the trust, they can come and collect the mower from me.
