I do have one issue that think I may have with it ( once it arrives). The hitch climber set up looks quite close to the bridge so I'm assuming i'll have ascend pulling on the rope above the hitch then tend the slack each time?

Or possibly moving the whole system further away, temporarily on ascent?

maybe attach my spare prussic loop with another biner to bottom biner of the HC so I can pull on the tail end of my rope instead?

That makes sence in my head haha

Yes, you're describing an o-rig.... I couldn't get on with it, even though it made my hc into a similar arrangement to my old self tending split tail set up. Have a search through the hitch climber thread, it's in there somewhere... :001_smile:

The whole lower D thing is pretty confusing, the ones on the sequioa are rated to be used while still attached by your main climbing system in a work positioning situation not for hanging in, unlike the treemotion were you can hang solely off of those lower D's not sure about the tree austria. And I know it's were your bridge is attached and it's pretty similar to being tied to your bridge but that's En ratings for you.

Oh cool, would this work with the O rig? I haven't got any accessory cord, its not very long and thought the snap would make it quick for change overs... or does this need to grip the rope like a hitch?
