i have had the old petzl ecrin rock, the newer meteor and now use the new stein. None fit me aswell as the good old groundie husky lid. I just cant get the ear defenders to seal properly so ears are ring at end of the day. I do blame it on wearing glasses but i cant see how they are different from the husky lid, i often wedge a woodchip between the helmet and defender which does help put a bit more pessure on them. The stein clear plastic visor lasts about 3 jobs more it unbearably scuffed, mine was just a little too close so scratched before i even put it on my head, it also does not pull down so well over glasses.

It's a big helmet but wearing it, you don't notice it. Huge amount of room between your head and the actual plastic of the helmet/ I can fit my hand between. Amazing how well the cinching system locks the helmet in place. If the colours a bit garish you can always peel the yellow stickers off. This is definelty the way forward in helmet design. I still think it's going to hot though but possibly an acceptable trade off- esp with being able to stow the ear muffs inside.
