90 is far too low, and I am amazed that you can get it to idle with such a low pressure. Are you sure that your compression test has been performed correctly and with the right equipment?

Not trying to be clever or score points, but it is easy to get the wrong results if its not done correctly.

If the new parts have been fitted correctly, the compression really should be better, and the problem sounds to be more related to fuel supply.

Sounds like your guage is suspect as id be doubtful it should run at all at 90 psi. What sealant have you used to reseal the cylinder? are you sure its sealed correctly with no leaks? I know the seal shouldnt concern the compression but it could be a cause of bad running. Why was the need to change the piston and rings, if it lean seized you will need to find out why or it will happen again.

Yeah, Gardenkit is on the money, verify the way you tested thew saw, try checking a known good saw and compare figures! Was the bore OK, was the plating OK, if seized- was the aluminium transfer removed?

The compression on these saws can read a little low but 135psi is more realistic and 145 psi when run in!

It may be fuel related, the metering arm being too low have been the problem on the last two in!

Wow 90psi and it is ticking over...

What comp tester are you using. Is it a screw in type or hold type?

Spud could be on the money with the metering arm. Especially if the carb has been apart to clean it out.

I good way to think if the comp is really that low is what does it feel like to pull over? Normally you can tell by giving it a pull and feeling for how easy it goes.
