husky 550xp, what a belter!!

Good to hear, i'll be ordering one very soon. If the husky top handle is as good as people say, then I won't buy another stihl again! (that's coming from a die hard stihl fan, but that was when it was 200t/ms260, not the modern pish)

 

I agree, in a stihl fan as I said but that husk is unreal in comparison !! My 201t was a bag of **** untill I driled exhaust out and tweaked carb

Glad you like it - it will get better and better over the next week or so after a few more tanks.

 

If you haven't already done it, take the spark arrestor screen out of the exhaust - that made mine pick u even cleaner and lost most of the flat spot that you get if it's been sat ticking over for a bit. Plus it sounds better too :biggrin:

550 all the way. So impressed with mine that I bought at the apf, it's had 6 weeks hard work now on birch, alder and sallow and hasn't missed a beat. My trusty old 260 seems so slow by comparison now! Will probably upgrade the filter but otherwise no complaints.

 

yes I agree, aparantly the brake bands have been upgraded now
