Anyone had a go on the new zig zag yet looks good but don't know weather to wait till the zig zag or get a lockjack sport ???

I haven't use it yet. Still the zigzag still looks like you'll get a bit of sit back as it function is like a knot whereas the lockjack you shouldn't get any!

Oh and welcome to the forum.

I'm afraid it was only handed out to a lucky few for trial I know of one but he lives in the states and I'm pretty sure no one in the UK got a trail?? Couple of forum sponsored Arb dealers have them in there shops to look and have a little play but for now its just waiting for the realese in February

But on the lockjack side you won't go wrong what's so ever there great, I had one of the firsts in the UK over ten years ago now and used them all the time, still yet to try it with the rope wrench but that's another thread!

Welcome to the forum also mate,

And Stuart I'm quite surprised you never got asked to do a trail I see Jared mr petzl had the first trail, really rates it to, don't know how much that comment is sales but ....... Lol

Absolutely no sitback on the zig zag, whatsoever.

As for the LJ, I hate climbing on them and yes I have tried on a number of occasions. I do notice that LJ users tend to be very evangelical about them. Maybe that is one of the reason I shy away from them, then again I shy away from most evangelical types.

I don't mean to be evangelical about the lock jack mate I just really rate them and other climbers like your self disagree, we all climb different and we all share different views :thumbup1:

No offence meant mate. I get you.

It is the people who I know and climb with on a regular basis that use them that are evangelical. They will not let it lie when I tell them I am not too keen and dont want a go.

I think it offends them in some way. I think it is funny and refuse there offer further.
