Quick tyre question.

I'm also concerned that if the width is too wide on the rears, which are doubles, then rubbing may be an issue.

 

yes, you can fit them, as you say there maybe rubbing, i have done loads of tricks like this.

If you want mega grip get Insa Turbo special traks - they are awesome off road. They howl a lot on road though - they sound like a quad! I've got them on the back of a Toyota Dyna and it is amazing where it will get too. The only problem is that when you do get stuck, if you wheelspin too much they dig massive holes very quickly!

Our local tyre fitter who comes out has Kuhmo KL71's [Road Venture MT] on the dual rears of a LWB tranny dropside. The size you quote is going to stick less than another inch inbetween your existing rims....

Take the spare off and stand it up against a front wheel and you'll be able to get a better idea of how much space you'll have without having to crawl around under the back.....

I wouldn't worry about it, stick 'em on.....

These are what ive ordered 4 of these its the same width 205 so will go on my rims going to be alot higher and speedo will be totally out just going to be trial and error i think see how i get on!

James, you should be able to check your speedo against a GPS to give you an idea of the margin of difference. :001_smile:
