Don't use dyneema for hitch cord mate , let alone a 6mm one . the melting point is very low.

Yeah I did have something like that in the back of my mind so was going to find out before use. Thanks for that 👍

Er, I don't use 6mm at all now and would NOT recommend using it although the 6mm Liros worked brilliantly.

I don't think the HH needs a CE mark the same as the RW doesn't.

are you sure ? the rw isn't life support as your hitch is separate but with the hh your directly tied onto the device

This is exactly why they won't CE mark it, because your not directly connected to the hitch.

I think the stuff I purchased is incorrect so I won't use it, I'll stick to 8mm so no worries Al. I will use it to make tending loops though, some of its blue so will look quite groovy haha 😃

thats clear mate but i was asking why it would not need one ?

It doesn't need a CE mark mate. But this is it, it does need one to become eligible to hit the shops for sale in the uk. And the reason I mentioned before is the reason they won't CE it. Not sure on the affects of insurances so can't comment there. But really shouldn't be used as there's no CE certificate, again I'm unsure as to the affects on say self employed climbers. On another note I'm also unsure if it conforms to EN standards also?

I'm happy with it and being self employed and the only climber who's uses my HH I really can't see there being any issues regarding HSE and voiding other firms insurance policy's. It's another touch but don't look, taste but don't swallow story's if you ask me.
