I think the spiderjack would pull to one side. I think it's off set but the positioner is in line. I wasn't keen on my positioner because it doesn't release and slide smoothly. More like jerks. It looks like he's put the longer handle of the spiderjack onto the positioner hasn't he? I'll definitely be giving this a go with my HH though.

 

you're using it wrong then mate , try grabbing your rope with your hand and releasing at the same time. you will find that even on a single leg with full weight you can get a smooth action.

Yep, just seen that 20seconds ago. They don't call it HRC which is why I didn't see it last week.

I am but a dumb tree climber!

 

I'll see how this Sirius works out cos it's cheap and I got two pieces.

HRC stands for heat resistant cover mate, they say it instead of the HRC abbreviation :)
