Washing ropes

Today's connies have finally tipped my ropes from mildly soiled to utterley minging, by the end of the day it was as much as I could do to adjust my strop...

 

I'm going to stick my Aeris, Beeline hitch cord & XTC strop in the washing machine..... anyone got any recommendations for programme type & washing powder....

 

I like a nice floral scent.....

Baby bio washing powder and not too hot. I wash mine by hand in a big drum with a rope brush, I don't trust the washing machine! Triple scrub and rinse:thumbup:

Washed mine the other day in a tied up pillow case on 30 degrees. NO SPIN CYCLE!

Washed my rope in nikwax worked a treat .ps cheers you have reminded me I need to wash them again .

Genius, don't think the wife would appreciate me trashing her new washing machine with a rope wrapped round the drum, I'll do that....

I put my ropes in a pillow cover also and nikwax washing ball thingy to hold the nikwax .you can buy from any camping shop .

You know what I meant, the one that's not full of nasties. Thinking about it, is it bio or non bio I know what it looks like but can't remember which it is. ...the non evil one!

I just put mine in the washing machine with whatever soap power we have in. It goes on a synthetic wash with a spin. Daisy chain it up to stop it tangling.
