Regarding your throw bag, if you cant get the branch you want within three tries, go for the lowest branch or a lower branch and take it from there.. throw bag on the end of your climbing line works wonders.

I almost always use a throw bag, Why the heck not?

Takes a second to put it on and has saved me time almost every time.

Frustration usually just makes things worse.

as with everyone else practice. personally i try and visualise it going over sounds but i find it works. other than that give your rope to someone else sit down and smoko and give them the abuse they were giving you

i got told today that if u cant footlock or use a throwline your not a very good climber,(this came from the nats in nz)

never tried footlocking and hate throwbagging on a line. i like to see what my rope is round.
