ah the good old job at cathcart.

 

i dont mind the railway work but hate the fence line clearences of ivy and brambles pain in the arse.

 

i offered to rip all that out with my roofmount, did they get another roofmount in, they thought i was to expensive. or should i say the other guy was working for less,

Tell me about it - gorse clearance on vertical cuttings - what a pain in the arse.

 

Regarding your throw bag, if you cant get the branch you want within three tries, go for the lowest branch or a lower branch and take it from there.. throw bag on the end of your climbing line works wonders.

I almost always use a throw bag, Why the heck not?

Takes a second to put it on and has saved me time almost every time.

(queue the Anchorman quotes "Sex Panther, works 60% of the time Everytime!!"

Frustration usually just makes things worse.

Unless your demolishing something....

as with everyone else practice. personally i try and visualise it going over sounds :stupid: but i find it works. other than that give your rope to someone else sit down and smoko and give them the abuse they were giving you

i got told today that if u cant footlock or use a throwline your not a very good climber,(this came from the nats in nz)

 

never tried footlocking and hate throwbagging on a line. i like to see what my rope is round.:001_smile:
