Stihl ms192t, my first topper!

I have just purchased a 192t secondhand for the newest wing of my company, tree surgery. I have used other's toppers in the past and with only limited funds it was a choice between an Echo cs3000 and the 192t, and i have to say so far its lovely. I have been using a silky and a 346xp as my 2 ariel saws and on a recent willow reduction got fed up with the effort of the silky and bulk of the husky, i think i will be very happy with her.

Can anyone offer any tips for the newest saw in the truck? obvious maint stuff i got down, but any idiosyncrasies with this model?

Cheers me dears!

Had one of the first ones that came out, I think it was something like 2003 model. Only a month ago it developed its first running problems. Turns out to be in need of a carb, but importing one from the US may mean its terminal:bawling:

Mine was actually muffler modded from new and never put a foot wrong, being used mainly for pruning works, but very capably of dismantles too.

Not sure there are many down sides to the saw IME, you may want to stick some tape around the air intake box to stop the cover falling off (due to the silly screw getting caught on twigs, unlike the 200 version), but other than that, ENJOY!:thumbup1:

On a selfish note, can you still buy new ones over there?:001_huh:

True love mate! Do you have a name for her? My 020T used to be called Josehine after my Son's mother....

Not thought of a name yet, bit like full metal jacket, when they are told to name their rifles.

"This is my chainsaw, their are many like it, but this one is mine. I must master my chainsaw, as I must master my life. Without me my chainsaw is nothing, without my chainsaw I am nothing"

any suggestions welcome for a name, was thinking about my first girlfriend's name, as she could handle 12 inches, 14 if the fuel was mixed well!

Ok, as I'm a lover of this saw, Ive done a lot of research over the years but only recently found the real reason it was never for sale here.

It was never meant to be a true pro saw. In the UK you need to be a full pro to purchase a topper, so was never released.

Rediculous yes, mine is seriously ill at the moment and somehow we aren't as well equipped without it. A very sad loss.
