I thought I would start off with one but got carried away with pictures! But then thought you might be interested.

Nice set up you have there is that a 20 or a 30 t horizontal in the background is so how do you get on with it what size timber do you put through it .:001_smile:

Why thank you young man! yes it's 30T in back ground, we are pleased with it. We traded first splitter because it was plain hard work moving the bigger bits of wood around. In background of last picture in front of "Tea room" is a modified Browns log chop which will chop though any thing else. It's run off my skidsteer. We also use it to it to split the rings pile I have.

Interested to see the rachett straps securing the bundles, rather than polywotsit strapping and disposable buckles. (i)What quantity/volume do you reckon is in each bundle?

(ii)Reason(s) for choice of strapping system?

Here are my two. the little yellow one is older than me, ie older then 34 years. It splits anything and i love it but i have had my eye on the bigger one at a local timber merchant for a couple of years and finally managed to buy it from him 2 weeks ago. Its knee operated and looks like youre dancing when in use. So quick too. I can split 6 ton in less than 2 hours which for me is plenty quick enough.
