I have just read a bbc article that British surgeons are being trained on LIVE shot pigs as part of military training excercises . It got abolished in 1998 but has ' crept ' back in some how . I personally find this an abuse of human priviliges on nature and no matter if i was a soldier or not , would want this outlawed NOW .

What are we turning into as ' human ' beings ??

PS ...Would be good if someone could put a link up , thanks

IMO I really don't see what the problem is. They have to get training somehow. No amount of classroom or working in a and e will ever train anyone to handle a combat situation as a medic.

Pigs are close to human anatomy. If it means they train on just shot pigs and it will save lives on the battlefield because the medic doesn't freeze and just sit there then so be it.

Would you not prefer someones Pig dies in order to learn skills that might save one of our Sons?

The reason it crept back in,was probably because there has been a real shooting war for the last ten years and its more pertinent now than ever before.

Bet the BBQ´s are champion on excercises these days:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

don't really see what the problem is to be honest. animals are killed inhumanly every day of the week and thats allowed as its HALAL!!!!

how can a pig be LIVE and shot at the same time:confused1:

How can it not be shot and still alive ?? Are you serious ??

Halal is quick and painless and hasnt the slightest analogy to what i'm talking about

PS and more importantly respect to the animal

If they used Horses instead, then presumably one could shoot it numerous times and more Medics could have a go?
