No one intends to hit themselfs that why we call them accidents i have been in trees with other climbers an they have caught themselfs you protect your legs when most chainsaw work is above the legs unless on the ground i think law should require them if there is protection it should be worn plus in winter there warmer.

IMO they are of no use at all re protection against a chainsaw (do you know what class they are telhol?) irrespective of the fact that a moving chain should never get anywhere near then.

Like I said earlier I do sometimes where them as forearm protection from spiky trees. I suppose they would also help keep your arms warm if they get the chance to go cold.

Chainsaw protection they aint. :heeeelllllooooo:

A saw should never touch any part of the body period but they do otherwise we would not have protection.

Since the saw is closest to the hand and arm to me it makes sense to protect them areas.

They run the same protection as trousers just with less layers i think 4-5 layers they are by no means perfect but some thing is better than nothing

Oh no i worked with people who have caught them selfs i believe a symtom called human.
