Right, recently iv pruned a large amount of fruit trees in a ladies garden. She now wants this chipped down. The issue is that she has zero access to her garden apart from through the house and there is no way to fit even a small gravity fed chipper through the house due to the fact that she is a prolific hoarder. How the hell can it be done?? :confused1:

Do they have a flat part of roof, like over a garage?

I've had to do a few jobs down terraced roads, carrying a small amount of brush up a ladder is a pain in the ass tho.... But sometimes its the only way...

And we have a winner ^^. Cheers for all the suggestions. This is the exact reason I joined arbtalk :001_smile:

Are writing that with your bestest sarcastic voice in your head? :sneaky2::lol:

Is there any easier access over/through one of the neighbouring properties? If not then probably your only option would be to lay dust sheets down through the house and hump the brash out. Major ballache though!

And if she wants to keep the woodchip, just fire it back through the letter box. :001_tt2:

What about a little electric home user chipper? you could probably hire one for not much money, I know it would be slow, but if your stuck it may be your only option. Or tell her to sort her house out and meet you in the middle if she wants it chipped that badly?

Has she paid for the pruning work? If this a separate task now to price for chipping and or removal, then explain the issue with minimal tight access through the house and that although it is possible the cost is going to be prohibitive. Does she have chimnea or fire pit? A lot of the arisings could be cut to length for that? Hire in a mini chipper such as the JoBeau, they even had a really small one, leccy powered at the AA Show. Tell her you can get a suitable machine in if and when she has cleared a passageway to get it through, but it's not possible until then. The ball is in her court then.
