This is the video of the hemlock I posted in the picture thread, Some of the rigging footage was missed unfortunately but I did get some from the ground while Andrew was climbing.

Hey nice work and video Tom.

 

When the camera first switched to the ground perspective it showed some rigging down one of the stems (I assume to protect the lawn)....but then later on the rest of the heavy wood was just bombed down anyhow. What was the difference?

Thanks Reg, the two stems over the road and the drive were rigged to avoid damaging the tarmac, the other two were just dropped on to the area up the slope a bit. We had cleared two yew trees and some laurels of there earlier so the ground was bare.

very enjoyable vid tom. nice filming, never had a go myself at on the job filming. reckon it must be tricky to get the hang of, either that or a lot of editing to cut out some of the head movements.

Cracking Video, well done! Are we Brits pioneering helmet cams and tree climbing ? Tempted to get one myself.

 

One question though….How do all you guys communicate with that music blaring out all the time ? Bet the neighbours hated it!
