I`m not qualified to answer anything technical , but the 365 advertised by FR Jones is the X-Torq model and it says so on the Husqvarna sticker on the side below "365" . I think the decomp. valve is on the opposite side in older 365s whereas on the xt it is on the top . Also the handbook supplied covers the 365xt , 372xp and 372xpg , but does not mention the ordinary 365 .

Hope this helps .

Very sorry, sounds like I offended you:blushing:

It was my understanding that when the 300 range of huskys came out, the 265 and 272 would become 365 and 372 respectively. The 357 that came out was said to be too close to the 365 and maybe in competition in sales terms, so the xp was never put on the 365, it was put into the semi pro range although still having the pro pedigree.

I may be wrong though, as I generally know very little of what Im waffling about:001_rolleyes:

Naa not offended at all  just going with the flow ! Only in it as I was a bit board . You can call it a Ferrari if you want I really don;t mind . Hope you get a saw that fulfills your needs . :thumbup1:

Good question, im guessing that theres a different carb, plus lack of air injection on the non xp 365.

But what comprises the air injection system? As far as i know its just a crude kind of turbo charging, the shape of the fins on the flywheel and the small spout upto the air filter which helps clear more dirt out and forces air into the carb ?

We need some clarity on this ! :-)

All 365's have air injection... The idea of air injection is the sucked in air contains less dust as its cleaned centra frugally before entering the air box ... It definiety works !! I think johnsered Tryed to market it as a turbo my 262 which was the first air injected saw I used felt like it had a turbo as well lol!!
