My trailer and tractor when loaded to 24 tonnes stops alot quicker than my discovery and trailer when it weighs 6 tonne. :biggrin:

 

that reminds me i need to top up the brake fluid in mi tractor before i take it out again :blushing:

I should point out though the tractor is 160hp hired and almost new all on air brakes and the trailer has commercial brakes, not ag

bit of a de rail, but is carting biomass/woodchip still considered forestry? or is your MB taxed differently?

I think the government may need to contract some big tractors and grain trailers soon to get some ash to the power stations.

if it gets everywhere it will be a dam shame, but it will make fuelling my new woodchip boiler a bit easier for a year or two

As far as I am aware still classed as forestry although I only use white diesel as so many people have been pulled and I am not prepared to waste my time arguing. Insurance needed clarification but I have it in writing that Biomass haulage is covered on my tractor insurance.
