Any basic srt access setup is likely to cost similar or more, without the added bonus of SRWP that a RW has

 

SRWP? i guess if it's all similar price then should get the better gear!

Single rope work positioning. It's not really a case of better, more the right tool for the right job. If you're not used to ascenders, frog walkers etc, the rw will feel more familiar territory.

 

I'd go for the rw personally, all my ascenders are near enough redundant now.

SingleRopeWorkPositioning (SRWP). my personal opinion is that srt gear should have the option of descent built into it, such as rope wrench, unicender, hitchhiker, rig. im not so much of a fan of ascent only systems..

Learn how to tie a running bowline and a timber hitch you probably already know anyway and off you go it's the future .honestly the best bit of kit I have ever brought and so much Easyer and quicker than double rope . God bless you dan Curtis you legend .
