Don't know but I'm only going to buy kiln dried logs from Lithuania now to help prevent this.

once you see the holes that means it has fulfilled its life as the worm and flown usualky

I had delivered a load of oak and got a complaint saying theres holes in some logs and he is concerned wood worm will damage his property.:lol:

I don't think woodworm will damage a house. Well at least you will need a whole army of them :D

 

As a bit of advice, get a basket or something to store them in your house. No Direct contact with surfaces will minimize risks.....If there are any.......

 

And Yeah, house timber should have been soaked in chemicals upon construction which would stop timber from rotting too early and keep bastards like wood worms far far away.....

Yeah thanks you cant please some people, I have already lost him as a customer because of this. Only second complaint in 5 years, his loss! :biggrin:
