if it comes up on hpi check as being on the V car register i.e a car that has been accident damaged & repaired

then it will be worth less than a car that is not on the register!!!

have a look at glasses guide book for a price comparison an accident damaged car is normally below bottom book price & facter the price difference into your claim then you have not lost any money

in my personal opinion i dont think that a car is the same from a safety aspect once they have had a smash!

but thats just my opinion i used to buy, sell & repair cars so i have seen a lot of things that the insurance approved repairers do & class as right!!!

Like Bigdave has said, if it is on the insurance register then it will not be worth the same as an unregistered car. For a start Audi cannot sell a car that is on the insurance register as approved used. If you had a choice of 2 identical cars, one that you knew had been in an accident even if it was repired by Audi which would you choose?

For your claim ask Audi to give you a trade in value now and a trade in value if it wasn't on the register and take that to your insurance. You are entitled to out of pocket expenses and all you need to tell them is you had agreed a sale before the accident and now it will be costing you £xxx more to complete the deal as proven by the two values supplied by the dealer.
