I have been offered a WC22 6 inch double hydraulic feed woodchipper delivered to UK including import duty and taxes for $3000. I am very tempted. Does anyone have any advice?

Just say you did get it what guarantee would you have if it went wrong and what about parts availability, seems a gamble to me but some gambles do pay off.

Make sure its attached to your vehicle at the time of purchase.

 

Remember the saying 'if it seems to good to be true'.

 

Yes, there are bargains to had..... most of them are in this country and you can check on them. Let someone else pay the shipping/import, let them worry that it may not exist.

Are you looking to import this stuff or just use it? Best advice would be not to bother unless you can kick the money away! Worth nothing as a part ex on a future deal, and from what I've seen of these types, they do not comply with H&SE regs (just like those awful tractor mounted jobs on fleabay) and just do not work properly! Apply the large barge pole imo.....

Romney made it clean in his 5 point plan yhis week that he wouldnt entertain cheap chinese imports so they will probably be aimed at us now

Maybe Obama will make it law that all US home owners have to have one by law It could be another big vote winner for him
