Boots

I know there is loads of threads on boots but I am finding it really hard to choose what I really want the reason I have taken so long about it is I find they are the most important part of my ppe . Ok so at the moment I have no risk climbing boots they have done 2 years but are now giving up I would say they are a great boot for many reasons one of the best things is the cork footbed so so comfortable from day one plus the zip makes it real easy to both take off and put on these boots they have stayed warterproof until about a week ago but I think that is because I polish and warterproof spray them the vibram soles have been good until about 2 weeks ago when they started to give up . So why dont I get the same again well its because of a few things such as need more of a heel for spikes lower cuff for climbing etc . So what would you say is the best climbing boot things I like about a boot are light comfy good movement and grip but not a sole that will chew the bark up on trees like eucalyptus and betula etc . A boot I would not like is anything to chunky that will get stuck in forks that has a high non flex cuff and thick chunky sole . PS my top runners are phantom from stein haix pro light . Any help would be great cheers guys .

Used to like Haix, but the quality has gone through the floor, Lavarro's are good value but make your feet smell!...its Meindl for me, comfy, dry and hard-wearing..also they're not bright read, yellow or any other odd colour that make you look like a clown :)
