On council land in a field behind where I live I noticed them last year

A few of them are like it. This thread reminded me to take some snaps

Give me 5 years and I will take some update ones hopefully :001_smile:

first two pictures of the beech second two of an ash that we took out today

at a guess i would have said these trees are self seeded but might not be (part of woodland next to customers property) we do have clay soil.
