Finished yesterday's oak off. 5 loads of timber today and done by 13:00. Which was nice because it's horrible weather here.

Really love that Vermeer track machine. What lift capacity does it have?

To be honest I wouldn't be without it. With an attachment. Realistically you'll lift 500kgs to 2.2m, although I have loaded much heavier timber with a bit or manipulation.

For example today we were only onsite in the heavy rain for 2-3 hours. Which would of easily been 6-7 hours logging and lifting, loads of sawdust and fuel. We used half a tank on the 395 and a tiny bit in the 880 because I just used it for the back cut.

Then another 40 minutes up the yard stacking it. The remainder of the time was driving to and from the yard.

Thanks for your reply. Yours is the only one I've ever seen. We're still paying our mog and chipper off !!

Maybe in the future...... No harm in dreaming!

Having said that, the majority of our work is back yard domestic. If we ever start doing site clearances etc..

then we would have to look at something similar. Perhaps

You'll be surprised where I can get that machine being 41" wide.

I bought my mog outright but it needs a fair bit of tlc. It's enjoying making a dent in my wallet but it's the logical choice for me.

Another 9 months and ours will be paid off!!

Likewise, it amazes me where our mog will fit. It's surprisingly well suited to domestic Arb. Look forward to seeing the progress you make with yours 🙂

The only plus side is I've completed my winter contracts so I'm in less of a rush to get it out.

Have a look on Instagram.

Quite a few people on there with them working trees.

Pretty sure my 725 is 35 inches wide. You've got me wondering now. I thought the 800 was 41inch and the 725 35inch

Yeah, the triangular tracks on mine give it away. Should have noticed yours is the older model. How many hours have you got? Do you prefer pallet forks for larger timber?
