ive got confidence in the main line, its just with the main strop and standing proud

When i was taught i didn't use a main strop/side strop, i used a 3.5mtr split tail and used this as a second line.

So when you throw your main line to branch 1 and you get up there, you don't have to used side strop around branch, waste time and then unhook main line, waste time and throw main line up to branch 2.

You can use main line to branch 1, then throw little line up to branch 2, dissconnect main and prussik up to branch 2.

Only use side strop/flip line for take downs thats it.

I tend to focus on the task at hand if I'm not feeling it.. in other words get out on the limb that requires work focus on the section i am working on and get on with it. the rest falls into place. a very large/tall tree can be intimidating but compartmentalising the tree into manageable sections helps me to focus and any nerves disappear, mainly due to the fact that I'm blowing out me backside with the effort.. (i'm a manager as my day job so weekend warrior at 40 is hard work...
