I put my old (98, r Reg) Nissan cabstar on ebay last week with no reserve. I got £300 more than I paid for it three years ago. The chap who bought and paid for it today said he was going to export it, i'm more than happy with my deal. Just curious to know what money the dealers/traders are making on these trucks ?

Hello,

From experience I can confirm that tippers fetch rather more in France than in the U.K

Our recent purchase, a 2007 Iveco was 40% more over here.

Even adding in the search time, ferry, change of headlights, certificate of conformity and registration fees, we are still many quids in.

No issues with running or insuring a right hand drive here either.

I paid just ove £2k for an R reg transit tipper with alloy arb back and tool storage.

103K miles, MOT for 9 months, some tax.

It runs great just needed £400 spending on new discs and drums.

Very pleased with it.

Would post a piccie if I could

It went for 25 hundred quid, this is it

Nissan cabstar tipper | eBay

Looked tidy, I guess there is a bottom limit to what a tipper can make due to its money making capacity. Amazing value when you think that at 400 odd quid a day (what a two man team should earn) it would take no more than a week and a halfish to pay for.
