My workmate (ab)uses his saw irregularly. After 6 months in the shed it won't run very well. Basically it goes well without the filter cover off badly with on any suggestions?

Clean the filter?

It is a bit. The basics are the best. Bit like connie is a money tree, left for a year and won't work machines are money machines.

 

You could have various. Clean filter again with compressed air. Check for spark at plug. (Hold against cooling fins while pulling cord) clean tank filter. Is the plug wet after trying to start. A little fuel direct into carb helps eliminate a few problems.

 

Or do what is stated and do a search on here for any more info :thumbup:

Sometimes when doing a search you get a massive number of correct hits and its difficult to filter out what you want !! Any how I've found a dolmar manual on line there is a prefilter on the side I'm suspecting this now
