Erm maybe something that tractors generally do perhaps.

 

well thats a usefull reply, some tractors pull a 12 gang plough but a 1412 isnt one of them, some tractors make good yard scrapers but a 1412 isnt one of them, are you getting the picture?

Just wanted for a project but maybe on the road towing etc, maybe pto chipper etc

 

not the fastest for road use and it wont drag a big trailer, it will run a small chipper best with with no stress.

Is that it? its a 90 odd hp turbo tractor, 80 hp at the pto...

Well guessing its arbtalk forum it's jobs would be related. Back to the thread, parts should be fairly easy to get if you plan to restore it at some point. Ain't too clued up on the hydra shift box but myself would go for a simple gearbox as cheaper to repair if needed to also simple. Am sure someone will correct me if wrong but sure it could be similar offering to what case did at one time and it was a problematic gearbox.

Make sure you try the hydrashift when the tractor is cold,the changes up the hydrashift shoulb not be lumpy or jerky,a smooth change when cold oil should be achieved.Anything your not sure on can be a costly mistake. Check out any major gearbox oil leaks. Most parts are easy to get hold of,all filters are easy to obtain too,Good luck....
