Seems the older saws are running for longer than new ones. We have two ms260 stihls and an ms200t. Every other saw is all 012 numbers. 034, 036, etc. use a 048av that has never missed a beat.

:001_rolleyes:Brand new MS201T keeps cutting out. Stihl dealership say it's all the ethanol 'that they're putting in the fuel these days' :001_rolleyes:

Try Aspen fuel (a single 5L canister) and if it still cuts out, go tell the dealer to find some other explanation. Aspen fuel is guaranteed not to contain ANY ethanol.

Last year my short Stihl hedge cutter seized and the dealers mechanic said "I've never seen anything like that before".

The tool had been used on about 12 jobs and was 3 days over warranty period.

Stihl wouldn't consider anything and said that my local dealer would give me advice on the best model to replace it with. I said I was a Stihl man to the core but then said I'd never buy another Stihl.

Moronic attitude!

Boo to Stihl UK👎👎
