Another option I am finding increasingly popular is electronic payment, you do need to be able to access your account on line to make sure they have paid though !!. Costs for that are the same as a cheque.

I'm falling behind.

We take cash - rarely

Cheques- sometimes

BACS- very often

I think its 40pence per transaction

Why would you want to increase your costs so much?

Yes I know it looks cool.

3.5% on a thousand pound job is £35

I looked at this last year along with the Cube from the states. Both told me they had no plans to launch in the U.K.

Looks like this one may be worth a look if they take visa and debit cards.

There was a proposal from the AA to me about the possibility of using a card machine company, and with it was a bulk discount type offer for multi purchase or contracts taken up. Similiar in many ways to the 'bulk buy britain' programme that is on the tv lately.

If the prices and commisions for set up etc were reasonable, would more people be interested in this type of thing. It would probably have to have a significant take up on it though from arb Co's.

I mentionend it in here about 18mths ago but the general feeling was nah!!! Cash or cheque.

If enough of you feel that this would be good i can raise the contact up again through the A.A. and see what the deal maybe if we had sufficient numbers.

Let me know
