Fungi Identification Book?

Hi Guys,

I am at collage studying arboriculture and have recently started doing about pest and disease and am wondering if anyone could recommend me an identification book to carry when working and seeing jobs for both fungi and pest and disease. I realise that a definitive book wont be out there as our understanding is constantly changing but is there an identification book out there worth getting for arb purposes?

Cheers

Hi David

I would happily use your app as I have found your database on arbtalk very helpful and informative but I don't own a device that supports apps which is why I'm looking for a book but if that is the way that identification is going then I may have put some effort in next time it comes to a new phone! :)

may well be an excuse to treat myself :)

Its one good app! if your looking for a book I would recommend manual of wood decays in trees, I also made these fungi ID flash cards a while ago, basic and not many fungi, but free! - http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/training-education/31535-fungi-flash-cards-free-all.html

Are you studying at Askham Bryan?
