How long should a carb on an ms 200t last granted they are worked hard,but the fuel is always corretly mixed,we have several bout 20 months old all struggle to pick up when revved and they all hunt when ticking over,any tips please,or do we need new saws cheers SSBOB.

they were blessed wi duff carbs made in china !!!,try getting a free replacment from stihl

Cheers ill bear that in mind .i thought Stihl had sorted this problem.cant believe they would cut corners and use cheap parts.

 

speak to jonsie,the later 1, have a carb pump or somthing like ,they fail aswell,u can get a kit to repair them ,have fun

I find MS200's only last 18-20 months, after that they tend to be unreliable. I would love to find some one who can fix mine. I have 4 now that are rubbish! I always mean to sell them at 18 months but never get round to it!

 

They stop running right get sent to be fixed, sometimes they come back and work for 5 mins then stop running right again! I am sure there are folk who could fix them but my local dealers can't!

Give spud a pm. See if you can send one over to him see what he can do. He has never let me down or anyone else for that matter.

 

If you can get hold of an 020 carb they are better.

Spudulike can fix that for you easily. He has a magic wand, I'm sure of it. 👍
