just a breif one how many folk have had there climbing kit nicked in the last 12momths reason for asking having been robbed 5,times (that should cheer a few folk up) they have never taken this kit all that goes are saws & red diesel ?:confused1:

Not exactly rocket science to work out the reason, the market for "hot" saws is big, easy to flog at a car boot sale, down the pub, etc. Red diesel cannot be traced back to the owner, can be used in the trucks to get around and so on. Harnesses, ropes and carabiners have a very small niche market, even brand new, not worth the trouble of nicking something if you cant shift it.

had 2 kits stolen the other year

problem is that is more money than 5 saws and they probably dumped it all or got £20 for it

Mate of mine his unit cleared out a month ago and they took his kits and rigging stuff as well!

 

Not sure what they would do with a lowering bollard and capstens but very annoying as its worth nothing to them but everything to us.
