I agree it is strange, Stihl are trying to stop NEW Stihl's being sold on Ebay to try and combat all the fakes that are still coming into the UK. So it shouldn't be a dealer.

Could be completely legit and fine. They are not selling them cheap like most knockoff sellers. So your not thinking your getting a bargain and getting stung.

I got approached twice last week buy 2 different guys both had Irish accents and both were selling tools from the back of their vans , one van had an irish number plate and one had a plate from the netherlands.

I refused their offers of new boxed tools point blank and they soon dis appeared.

When I mentioned this to a local tree surgeon he said that they had stopped him and offerd him boxed stihl saws for £120, he told them where to go.

They could be our saws if you get offered them again can you PM me the number plate, and phone the police. The quicker these guys are caught the better for all of us.
