The Rc3001 is a great bit of kit but it is heavy. If the Rc2001 is lighter i would think that would be a good one to go for. I have an RC2000 but its horrible to use.

That's why I'am leaning towards a fixed bollard, just seems to a more stable to use

just get the basic isc.

it does the lot.

The old porta wraps are good but rigging has moved on since the introduction of the bollard and stability is now leading the market, with what the new rc2001 costs you might as well spend that little bit more. I for one would never go back to a capstan or porta wrap......

The RC 2000/2001 can be pretty well fixed using a ratchet strap at the top (the whoopee at the bottom takes the load), which virtually turns it into a bollard.

Flopping about capstans are a pain in the tits.

Just been trying to find that picture of yours mate but can't remember what thread it was in?

Come on show us again....
