We (the royal we that is!) use some sachets that go in the kettle, boil it up and then rinse away the limescale - I'll sort out a trade name when the house elf has finished putting the kids in bed.

This is funny i just went to make a cup of tea and the kettle had limescale init so i just cleaned it out here in suffolk our limescale is soft round and round with a brush and the water goes white and its gone. but i was going to say vinigar. still liking your avatar dean can you send her round im home alone tonight :001_smile::001_smile:

The house elf recommends - Quickshine descaler bag

 

Boil the kettle, drop the bag in, leave for 1/2 hr and rinse - scale gone.

Main ingredient seems to be some form of powdered citric acid.
