Yes 57plate td5 in that one jon, don't think there much point in spending too much on performance when it's the sort of vehicle you don't want to be going fast and find a corner because you won't make it!

Plenty of other things to do to it before messing with performance too much.

We used ex NI army lwb v8s as armoured police gun platforms in the 90s. Trouble was while the engine could just about cope with the weight, the brakes couldn't :001_rolleyes:, used to have to plan ahead to avoid fade but was a real hoot otherwise.

Does anyone else here get tired of driving their landrovers?

I mean I love mine to bits and find it so bloody useful but by god it gets tiresome. Also mine does 15mpg so costs a bloody bit to run aswell.

Anyway, just needed to get it off my chest.
