No more Hobbits!...PLEASE! dwarves,Auks,elves or Goblins...that,s it:sneaky2: Took my nephew to see "The Hobbit"...i,ve seen all the others many times over,read the books as a kid...but tonite was the last for me...a bit of a Marathon...nearly three hours long and i mean LONG. Had my fill of Middle Earth...it was great while it lasted but i think i,ll close the book for good...

Thats it for me then- I was not looking forward to 3 hours of hobbits in an uncomfortable cinema seat. 2 hours of Life of Pi was just about the limit though a good film and message. Why don't the film makers realise- their films are too long.

Anyway- just wanted to say how chuffed I am that everything has worked out well for you Paul. Passed Laing o'Rourkes offices at Dartford crossing yesterday and the lightbulb lit. I made a connection. Just on the way back from a big family meal at the Falcon at Fotheringhay near Oundle. Only £1.90 for half of Greene King IPA. Crazy.

Very kind of you to share that with me LIOLI:001_smile: i am in FULL control of my life (More or less:001_rolleyes:). Hobbit is a bit too long and with a few scenes removed that didn,t seem necessary i would have enjoyed it more:biggrin: it is very realistic and shot very well. My favorite bit was when the Brown wizard finds a sickly Hedgehog and administers first aid and revives him....it is quite amazing!

What a fantastic few days it,s been so far and i still have the Main Event...NEW YEARS EVE! North Eastern Style! i will have to return here in a couple of years for good...I belong here..you can tek the lad outa Durham but ye cannat tek Durham outa the lad:biggrin: it,s so friendly here and i have a wonderful famiy...Been entertaining my nephew who is from Newcastle and he showed me a video he likes...so i thought i,d share it and it shows why the local lasses here are the best in the world (After oriental:001_rolleyes:)...and the best accent!
