Was asked to look at these yesterday. Could not see anything wrong. Client noticed about 3 weeks ago - could this be scorch from the hot weather we had recently?

Could tie in with only side being affected.

Only the hedge has been trimmed about a month ago by the gardener. The trees are untouched.

An associate has been in touch with F.R. Ref. Phytophora.sp. on conifer in warwickshire.. These are very similiar features... I wouldnt discount it just yet. Contact forest research see what they say.. Symptoms seem to have been perfect for the spread/ occurance of it during spring and early summer
