Im looking at pricing some work up for a local housing agency. So far as i can tell Spon's list the price for mowing not collecting with a pedestrian mower at £1/100m2. Somehow im not sure if I could do it for that. Its a call out contract so I might only get one or two gardens now and again. A 10m x 30m garden would be cut for £3 am I missing something?

Cheers for any comments good or bad, I dont mind if anyone calls me a numpty if Ive done the sums wrong or anything like that!

Are you sure you have your figures right? £1 to mow 100 square metres using a pedestrian mower, this just cant be right, i,m pretty sure you couidnt make it pay even if you had a load of playing fields to mow, let alone the odd garden here and there using a ride on,the fuel alone would be more than your earning.

We work mowing and strimming prices out at £1/minute based on 2 people. We're very fast though, so while £1/minute might sound a lot, in reality it's bugger all. With 2 people, and money going through the business properly to fund everything, there is no point in doing anything for less than £30/hour per person.

I'm glad someone has sense!! Nice one pedro, I'm sick of hearing people cutting grass for £8 an hour, it's a joke. I only look after 3 lawns now and I charge £35 per cut and edge, they take 45 mins each. The customers are happy enough.
