Where do I stand on a warranty?

Yeah that's what I thought, even though its just sat in a crate for two years. Their supposed to be ringing me this week so I'll see what they say

 

Well that's crackers alright, if that's how it came out of the crate it would have been a no brainer but they are just going to say its out of warranty and you did the damage.

 

When they said factory recon, did they say when it was re coned?

It was on ebay so although I've got the receipt, I've not got the original listing. I'll just have to see how it goes. I kept it elsewhere too in that time so could get a witness if it went that far. I paid 1.5k for it so it's not like it's peanuts,

 

Now i can see why you have no faith in flea bay.
