Whos bright idea was it to award a posey of flowers to the medalists in the boxing :laugh1:

Welsh silver medalist Freddie Evans looked positively thrilled to be holding a bunch of flowers infront of millions of viewers

I thought this thread was gonna be about Luke Campbell from Huddersfield.

Shame on you Lofty.....:001_tongue:

Is he related to the Bantam weight, British Olympic Gold medal winner Luke Campbell from Hull by any chance? :001_rolleyes:

I'd like to hear you say that to their faces!

I've been involved in boxing for 20 years my 2 sons are good amateurs ,I tell them regularly down the gym that they're a load of poofters as does the head coach :001_tt2:

This Olympics, Sky has finally taken over the coverage in NZ and it's been fantastic. I've finally been able to watch a heap of the boxing. I'm not sure about the flowers (wife is a florist and she thinks they're great) but I watched one of the Ukranians yesterday and his haircut was something else. It seems a few others from the Ukranian team were sporting the same style. Mind you, the guy won silver and his smile took over his whole face so he obviously doesn't give a monkeys and who can blame him.
