Anyone out there go to any car boot sale

Picked up some lovely quality old sheffield files at 10p each-steel is excellent for knife making, had some brikabrak over the years, oh not forgetting a smashing pair of V necked yellow socks...LOL.

Only ever been to two in my life.

But the other weekend went to one in Kent & picked up a brand new French made woodcarving mallet with a composite head for £2.50 normal price about £40-

Also a nice book on plant propagation for a quid, written by an actual expert rather than some tv celeb gardener.

I get my stump grinding barriers for £1.00 - £2.00

Some people call them old wind-breaks for the beach but they work fine.

When thry do wear out I just buy another one. Buy about 4-5 a year. rarely been to a sale where there wasn't one (maybe it helps living on the coast).

 

Once saw a bloke selling a brand new hobbs block with all lowering ropes etc for £500.

By the time I got back from making a quick call to the police he was being escorted away by the boys in blue. Ironically that was just behind Ford prison!!

Last boot sale I went to was to recover some stuff that was stolen from me, well I didn't go there with that intention but that was what happened. I made a bloody great fuss at him and a crowd built up. I took my stuff and walked off, then rang the police. Everything in the car was stolen, as was the car too. Turned out quite a haul for the local Plod

got a 110volt makita sds drill for a tenner and a 110volt cement mixer for 50... they work perfectly
